Case Study

A major international resource company engaged MindTribes to evaluate their EAP services, focusing on cultural responsiveness. The goal was to identify gaps and develop recommendations to enhance the program’s effectiveness for diverse employee groups. This initiative aimed to ensure that all employees could access and benefit from culturally appropriate support services.

MindTribes, together with our clinical psychologist partner Pola Practice, conducted a detailed assessment of the EAP’s practices, documentation, and service delivery. This involved reviewing EAP forms, brochures, and client intake processes to identify cultural safety gaps. Interviews with EAP providers and observations of service delivery were also conducted to understand the practical application of cultural responsiveness. 

The audit revealed several critical areas for improvement. Based on that MindTribes provided a series of recommendations, including regular cultural sensitivity training for EAP providers, updating brochures and intake forms to reflect workforce diversity, implementing a system to match employees with culturally competent therapists, and establishing community consultation partners to support therapists on culturally specific issues.

The EAP audit conducted by MindTribes gave the client a clear understanding of the gaps in their current EAP services and actionable steps to address these issues. By implementing the recommendations, the client aimed to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all employees, ensuring that their EAP services are accessible and effective for diverse cultural groups.
