Community of Practice

As you complete these modules, you will be part of a Community of Practice here on the MindTribes Digital Hub, which is an integral part of this course. In this community, you’ll be able to connect with other like-minded individuals taking part in the course. Use this space for asking questions, discussing content, and building relationships with peers from diverse industries. Think of it as your digital ERG network—a place to collaborate, inspire, and grow.

Evidence-Based

Each module, you will learn about concepts, frameworks and how this has been applied both other ERGs in the public, private and not for profit sectors in Australia and New Zealand. These will influence you to act to apply these learnings withing your own ERG.  In 2025, MindTribes also published a research paper on the factors that influence the effectiveness of ERGs, co-authored with the University of Melbourne and Careers in Colour. This course is built upon research findings and our practitioner experience supporting dozens of ERGs and inaugural work with some of the largest employers in Australia.

Commitment and Engagement

As a self-paced program, you have the freedom to learn at your own speed and convenience. Each module is structured to take approximately 45-60 minutes, including engaging video lessons, interactive activities, and short assessments. We recommend setting aside about 2 hours per week to complete a module and participate in the community of practice. However, you can move faster or slower depending on your personal or professional commitments.

Application-Based

Each module is application-based and builds on the next to walk you through how to effectively create change. Within each module, you can compare and contrast how your ERG is tracking vs the real case studies. This allows you to conduct gap analysis and make decisions about what you can do next. Even if you are part of a long-standing ERG, you will find this useful to assess where you can strengthen your position.
