Supporting the development of an intersectional perspective to VPS Complaints Processes

Data collection statement

The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) have partnered with WorkSafe Victoria (WorkSafe) and the Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC) to deliver the Safer Workplaces for Women of Colour project.

The project will deliver:

  • evidence-based tools and resources for Human Resources practitioners to respond to reports of bullying and harassment in the Victorian public sector
  • a report on alternative reporting processes, including anonymous and confidential reporting

As part of the project CPSU has engaged MindTribes to facilitate focus group consultations.

Privacy and Participation

If you choose to take part in a consultation, your contribution will be anonymous and any personal information you do choose to share will be deidentified if used in the project’s deliverables.

When you register VPSC will collect your contact information to:

  • invite you to attend a consultation and send you a link to attend
  • send you a communication after the consultation

Your contact information will not be provided to MindTribes and will be deidentified after consultations.

During consultation sessions, MindTribes will collect data relating to the views, opinions and lived experiences of participants only.

How we will use your feedback

The information you provide as part of the focus group consultations will be used to produce deidentified written notes. These deidentified notes will inform the delivery of the Safer Workplaces for Women of Colour project.

At the conclusion of the project, your deidentified information will contribute to a final report for the project sponsor, WorkSafe. MindTribes will share a copy of the deidentified notes with the CPSU, WorkSafe and the VPSC. The CPSU, WorkSafe or VPSC may use these to:

  • inform future work, including policies, processes and strategies
